About Me

"One of my biggest dreams was to be a computer programmer."

My Picture at Work

In the Late 80's, I began working for an electronics firm where i learned how to install a variety of electronic systems (TV, Telephone, Networking, Intercoms/Paging, Fire Alarm, and Security Systems. At this company I worked my way through the ranks and was eventually promoted into their estimating department. While I was employed here I received a certificate in AutoCAD Drafting from Trident Technical College in 1989.

At the Age of 20 I decided to follow in my fathers footsteps and received my Electrical Contracting license with the County of Charleston, South Carolina.

Realizing that I needed more specific training in the electrical field I began working for ElDeCo, Inc, One of the larger Electrical contractors in the Charleston Area. I worked for them for 3 years (1990-1992). I help several positions with them from
Jr. Estimator to Jr. Field Engineer.

From 1992 to 1995, I worked for Industrial NDT, Inc. as a computer operator and drafter. With them I had the good fortune of interacting with Engineers and other management in a variety of different manufacturing and chemical process industries by assembling all of the raw inspection results into final inspection reports. I coordinated the activities with our on site CAD operators and the project manager.

From 1996 to 2008, I owned my own company, Wildwood Electrical Contracting, Inc
I was the man with all the hats. Some of the responsibilities I held here were, Estimating, Design/Build, Project Manager, Purchasing Agent, Customer Service, Book Keeping, Accounts Receivable and Billing.

In the Year 2009, due to the recession the construction market tanked and I decided to close the business down. Fortunately for me, this was the opportunity I had wanted for most of my life. I finally had the time to go back to college and get the education I had always sought, but never had the time to achieve.

May of 2011, I graduated for Trident Technical College, Charleston, South Carolina.
with an Associates in Applied Science, Small Business Entrepreneurship Degree.

June 2011, I began a new degree in Computer information Systems. In addition I am completing my Course work in Web Design, by having accumulated a variety of new skills to include the Adobe Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks), Microsoft Office Suite 2007 (Word, Excel, Access), Programming Languages (HTML, CSS, Microsoft Visual Basic Script, JavaScript, & PHP).
